Who needs an Expedition
Snowshoe?
Expedition snowshoes are
made for extreme users. Typically the bindings are designed
to fit on a more robust boot. These snowshoes rarely work
well with light hiking boots, running shoes, etc. In most
cases, expedition snowshoes will have a full rotating hinge
on the binding making it easier to "grab" the mountian with
climbing. In addition, expedition style snowshoes will be
heavier, stronger and thicker.
